New Organisational Structure of SEAMEO Secretariat

This is to inform you that the SEAMEO Council through referendum during non-SEAMEC Year 2018 approved the new organisational structure of SEAMEO Secretariat described as follows:

a. Restructuring of Programme and Development Department

  1. Establishing an additional Programme Officer as the Post of Programme Officer IV through upgrading the current Programme Support Officer Post.
  2. Switching External Relations Officer from Administration and Communication Department to Programme and Development Department under the supervision of Deputy Director (Programme and Development) and renaming the Post of External Relations Officer as Project Officer. 
  3. Switching two posts of Service Assistant from Administration and Communication Department to Programme and Development Department under the supervision of Deputy Director (Programme and Development) as well as renaming as Programme Assistant and upgrading to the level ranging from G-4b to G-5a. 

b. Restructuring of Administration and Communication Department

  1. Renaming Communication Manager as Knowledge Management Manager.
  2. Switching Documentation & Resources Officer to work under the supervision of the Knowledge Management Manager.
  3. Renaming Assistant Accountant as Assistant Accountant I and establishing one additional assistant accountant as the Post of Assistant Accountant II through upgrading the Cashier Post.

The duties and responsibilities of all adjusted posts will be reviewed to reflect the work performed by the position holders under the new structure.  Please refer to the new organization chart of SEAMEO Secretariat in Appendix.

The above changes are to be implemented as from the date of this General Circular.
